Over 50 Beauty Tips - Foundation

Over 50 Beauty Tips - Foundation

Foundation should be the final step in any good skin care routine. It helps protect your skin from the environment as it even skin tone and covers flaws for a healthy, glowing look.

  • Apply creme foundation while your moisturizer is still wet so that it blends better and doesn't accentuate fine lines or wrinkles - or use a mineral powder foundation to help make lines and wrinkles disappear.

  • Use a facial highlighting pen to lighten dark areas on your face. If you can eliminate shadows, you will look much younger.

  • Use concealer to brighten and lighten the under-eye area. Pair a pink- or peach-toned corrective concealer with a yellow-toned concealer. Be sure to apply concealer close to the lashes and to the inner corner of the eye as well.

  • If you use a light pressed powder as a finishing touch, top off any excess with a tissue. Keep powder light, heavier powder application can settle into fine lines and wrinkles which accentuates them.
